1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They let the site recognise your browser on a later visit, remember things you have done, and measure how the site is used.
Similar technologies do related jobs. Local storage keeps small amounts of data in your browser; pixels and tags (sometimes called web beacons) are tiny invisible files used to count whether a page or an email has been opened. Where this Policy says "cookies," it means all of these.
2. What we use them for
Strictly necessary
No consent requiredNeeded for the site and the application to work — keeping you signed in, maintaining your session, remembering security state, and protecting forms against cross-site request forgery. The Services cannot function without these, so they cannot be switched off.
Preferences
No consent requiredRemember choices you have made, such as display settings, so you do not have to set them again on your next visit.
Analytics
Consent where required by lawHelp us count visits and understand which pages and campaigns bring people to the site, in aggregate. We use privacy-respecting website analytics and do not build profiles of individual visitors.
Advertising
Not usedWe do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party ad networks on our websites, and we do not share your information with advertisers.
3. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by the providers we use to run the Services rather than by us — for example our website analytics provider, and our payment processor when you make a payment. These providers may set cookies on their own domains and process the data under their own privacy policies. We do not permit them to use the data to advertise to you.
4. How to control cookies
You do not have to accept non-essential cookies. Every major browser lets you see what has been set, delete cookies, and block them — either generally or for a particular site — in its settings or preferences. Mobile devices offer similar controls.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the application working, including signing in. Blocking analytics cookies has no effect on how the Services work for you.
Where law requires your consent before non-essential cookies are set, we will ask for it before setting them, and you can change your mind at any time.
5. Do Not Track
There is no agreed industry standard for responding to browser Do Not Track signals, so our websites do not currently respond to them. We do not track visitors across third-party websites, with or without such a signal.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Services change or as we adopt different providers. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date above.
